The purpose of this illustration was to visualize an organ of my choosing and illustrate a story. The elements of this illustration were created in ZBrush and 3ds Max, then composited in Adobe Photoshop.
A horse skull was scanned at the Educational Resource Centre. I cleaned, painted, and textured the resulting scan in ZBrush. Rendered the skull in Cinema4D with the use of a greyscalegorilla light setup.

For a molecular pharmacology assignment, we were to visualize a mechanism of action through the use of a still image. This illustration was created using ZBrush, 3ds Max, VMD, and post-composited in Adobe Photoshop.
ZBrush models lit and rendered in Cinema4D, with the use of a greyscalegorilla light setup. Original tarsal bones created by previous medical illustrators - the calcaneal fracture was my creation for a larger project for the Educational Resources Centre at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.

Influenza A Virus eBook Cover
This will be the cover of my research project: an interactive eBook designed to help undergraduate biology students visualize the replication and genetic reassortment of the influenza A virus. The virions were created in ZBrush and composited in Photoshop CC.
First major exercise in the 3D modeling program ZBrush 4r7. The sculpture was based off an actual sculpture in the Freer Museum in Washington, D.C.
The exercise was modeled and rendered in ZBrush, then brought into Adobe Photoshop for post-compositing.
